Instructions for National Student Application

 

Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) invites applications from aspiring national students across Nepal. Please follow the instructions below to ensure a smooth application process.

 

Step-by-Step Application Process

 

1. Visit the Online Application Portal

Access the national student application form at apply.lbu.edu.np. A list of available programs for admission is provided on the portal.

2. Complete the Application Form

Fill out the online application form with accurate details. Make sure to include the following:

• Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, and contact details.

• Digital Passport-Size Photo: A recently clicked, clear digital photo in passport format.

• Address Information: Your current address and permanent residence details.

• Citizenship Information: Citizenship number, date of issue, and issuing authority.

• Educational Qualifications: Details of your previous education, starting from SEE/SLC or equivalent.

3. Submit the Application Form

Once you have filled out all required sections, submit the form online. Double-check your information for accuracy before submission. After submitting, you will receive an Application Reference Number.

4. Pay the Application Fee via eSewa

• Log in to your eSewa account or use the eSewa mobile app.

• Enter the provided Application Reference Number as the payment reference.

• Pay the application fee.

• Retain the payment confirmation for future reference.

5. Application Review

The Dean’s Office will review your application once the payment is verified. Approved applications will proceed to the next step.

6. Receive Entrance Exam Admit Card

Once your application is approved, you will receive your Entrance Exam Admit Card via email or through the application portal.

7. Attend the Entrance Exam

• Prepare and appear for the entrance exam as scheduled.

• Bring your admit card and necessary identification to the exam center.

8. Interview Process

After the entrance exam, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

9. Admission Call as per Merit List

Based on the combined results of the entrance exam and interview, admission will be offered to candidates as per the Merit List.

5. Payment of Application Fees

The application payment can be made through:

• Wire Transfer: Details will be provided by the International Student Support Centre.

• On-Campus Payment: This option is available when you arrive at LBU.
